I’m riding the style train full steam ahead towards minimalism.
Over the past few months, I’ve began shifting my fashion towards the minimalist style. The simplicity and modernity of minimalism to me looks very clean and sleek. It appears very attractive and is like a breath of fresh air to look at. No complex patterns, no crazy designs, just very simple, basic clothing. Since it’s basically Winter, I’ve ditched my summer style, which typically contained wearing every color, down to wearing three (mostly). Those colors are black, white, and grey. With these, my outfit combinations are essentially endless. I am free to mix and match all three of these colors in the same outfit, or even go for all black from head-to-toe.
The first switch I made was to my jacket. I have a Calvin Klein leather jacket with a hood that is the perfect jacket for the winter. But wear and tear was getting to it since I purchased it a few years back and I was looking for something sleeker, cleaner, and with less flashy zippers. As I was strolling around SoHo, I walked my way into the Guess store and came across the perfect black leather bomber jacket that was minimal, light, extremely warm and comfortable. Everything I require from a jacket.
I even took my minimalism to my accessories. I normally went to work with a backpack or with a duffle bag but neither did a solid job at protecting my belongings from banging around inside. So I decided to part ways and began to extend my minimalism beyond my clothing. To replace my backpack and duffle that I rocked to work, I got my hands on a Bombata Bag which are designed an Italy and can be found here on their website. I specifically switched to the Bombata Milano 15 Inch Overnight. The main reason why this bag was suitable to replace my backpack was because it is ultra-modern, extremely lightweight, and it has a hard, but soft leather shell on the outside. It could easily protect any damages against my laptop and above all I am able to stay alot more organized.
