Rain Gear w. Mango Man

Thanks for dropping by everyone and to my new followers, welcome to Life By Hill, my travel, menswear and photography blog. Since I've last posted on here, I've gained a few thousand followers and want to show everyone what they can expect in the future from my Life By Hill content and photos. The reason why I haven't written a blog post since October 2017 is because life got super busy and am juggling quite a bit with a full time job, graduate school and being in the New Jersey Army National Guard. Nevertheless, my goal this year is to create a consistent amount of very high quality and visually driven content for everyone to view and enjoy. Since October, my photography style has shifted, my editing has improved and perhaps, hopefully even my style. If you like these new edits and my new style of photography, let me know in the comments and I will continue to create similar posts!

NYC Rain Gear w. Mango Man

There was always one particular staple item missing from my coat and jacket collection. A solid, dependable rain coat that was also high in quality, fashionable and most importantly affordable. I had in mind what I was looking for but couldn't quite find the perfect one when I begin shopping online. Like every other millennial, I began to shop on Instagram. I searched through bloggers, through brands, through locations and sure enough I landed on the @Mango_Man Instagram account. From there, I moved onto their website here, and headed straight to the Coats section. Low and behold I found what I was looking for, a Navy Blue Double Breasted Trench Coat PLUS it is currently on SALE for $54.99 (61% off). To me, this was a total steal. So I bought it and waited for it to rain to wear it into NYC because let's be honest, that would be pretty weird to wear a legitimate rain coat on an average winter day.

As I always do, I bought one size up (Large) because I'm probably layering a suit or sweater underneath it so I like to have a little wiggle room. Plus, I honestly think oversized clothing items are starting to make a comeback (you heard it here first). When I first felt the coat, the material totally caught me off guard. It felt like a waterproof tarp and honestly, that's exactly what it was, but of very high quality. The fabric is soft, 100% waterproof (I wore it in heavy downpour and rain trickled right off me)and has a thin layer of insulation that was surprisingly warm. It even has an inside zipper pocket which is clutch for keeping your wallet/keys etc. So if you are in need of a rain coat, I highly recommend checking this out. For the rest of the outfit details, check it out below and scroll on down for the full photoshoot. Hope you guys enjoy 'em.
