Public parks are amazing, but nothing compares to the New York City High Line. If you are unfamiliar with what The High Line is, it’s a 1.5 mile-long above-ground old subway track that has been turned into a public park. Quite frankly, it’s THE nicest walk you can get in the city. As you stroll down the track-covered sidewalk, benches populate the sides along with beautiful gardens, shrubs, bushes and flowers blossoming and flourishing to your left and right. The High Line also gives you unprecedented views from a whole new perspective as you walk the path and cut your way in-between buildings, underneath hotels, and through restaurants as high as their third floor to access sights and parts of the city otherwise un-viewable.
