Dubrovnik is easily one of the coolest places I’ve ever been. Its absolutely beautiful with hidden gems all around. Old City (one of the districts) is the biggest tourist attraction now, and rightfully so (Any Game of Thrones fans out there?). It is inside the city walls which feels and looks like you are in a fairy tale. The one thing I was so surprised about, was how clean everything was. From its gothic architecture to the stone streets, the city is remarkably well preserved.
Our AirBnB was in the best location! It was right outside the walls of Old Town. We were debating on staying inside the walls but I am so happy we opted to stay right outside because it was within walking distance to everything and it even had a mini terrace outside. Not many of the apartments available had this option. So on our first day, we did what we do best, and wandered around the inside of the walls.
Buza Bar was the first stop on our list that had been recommended to us by multiple friends. This place is on the side of a cliff, only takes cash, doesn’t serve food, but has the most amazing views! We ordered Rosé and sat down at a table over looking the Adriatic Sea. Many people were sunbathing below on the cliff as we watched several adrenaline junkies jumping from the 35 ft cliff. After making friends with a lovely Australian couple who talked us into jumping the cliff, Jess and I found ourselves ditching our cover ups and peering over the rock, 35 feet above the water. We both jumped, and DAMN did that hurt! That was one of the CRAZIEST things I have ever done! For the rest of the trip I had bruises on the back of my thighs and could hardly sit down without complaining but in all honesty, when would I ever be able to do something like that in my life again?
For dinner, we headed up to the top of the cable car to check out the sunset. The sunsets in Croatia are spectacular across all the coastal cities.

At the top of the mountain is a restaurant called Panorama. We ate here but I would not recommend it to anyone. The waiter was very unhelpful and rude. We asked questions about the menu and he did not know the answer. When we asked if he could find out from the chef he said “no.” The view was great, but the service was horrible and the food was mediocre.
After dinner, we went to the Club Revelin which is a cool concept for a club. To get in, you have to walk up 20-30 steps into the walls. The sign outside the club had big DJ names but we were there during a night where the resident DJ was playing. This club would definitely be cool to see a big DJ play but on any other night I would not recommend it. The DJ was okay, and the bartenders tried to rip us off when we ordered drinks. There were some performers on the main stage along with being in the small crowd. Overall, we did end up having a good time and ended up dancing late into the night.
The next day we decided to hit Banje Beach, which was one of my favorite spots on this whole trip. This beach club is outside the walls but it’s only a short distance, and was once again walking distance from our Air BnB. You can rent beach chairs or beds, grab some food and drinks, or hang out in the crystal blue water along the rocky beach. I opted to be by the water majority of the time since this particular day was extremely hot.

This day we had planned to go to Lokrum Island but, the sun was too much for us and we were too exhausted to take the trip. This island is supposed to be beautiful and there are wild peacocks!
For dinner we had made reservations for 360. This by far was my favorite meal of the trip. The amazing view was of the incredible marina and the restaurant was situated on top of the walls. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The server brought out some bread with three different kinds of butter, but the only butter we touched was the black truffle butter which was AMAZING! I highly recommend this restaurant and it is even more enticing since this is where Beyonce and Jay Z ate when they were in Dubrovnik.
(I ordered the beefsteak and it came out on a giant wood cutting board)
That night we walked around old town going through the bars on the main street next to the church. I thought this was way more fun than the club because people were outside drinking and walking around so it was just an overall fun scene. Plus, the setting was much more relaxed than in a nightclub. We had an early morning catamaran trip planned for the next day so it was not a late night for us.
Thanks for reading about my experience and I hope you enjoyed!
