We’re back at it again to give you MORE food! How could we honestly not? Only this time, we’re taking our reviews to the streets of New York City with Gabriela DeMassi (@gdemass) who is a one-of-a-kind New York City foodie. Wandering Bloggers (@wanderingtravelers) was able to get with Gab as she snaps away her daily food intakes on her Manhattan lunch breaks to share with us her favorites, or at least finally convince us to just go there ourselves already.
So if you aren’t drooling over your keyboard or phone screen yet, check out Gabriela DeMassi’s top NYC food picks and suggestions:
Agave: (@Agavenyc) – 140 7th Ave S, New York, NY
“Blood Orange & Prickly Pear Frozen Margarita”
If you’re searching for the perfect frozen margarita this summer, you MUST hit up Agave. Great place for dinner or weekend brunch. Not only are the margs TDF, but the guac… holy guacamole! My personal suggestion for the margs would be the prickly pear or blood orange.
Green Café: (#greencafe) – 21 W 58th St, New York
Custom Wrap w/ whole wheat egg wrap, spinach, cilantro, american cheese, avocado, & turkey bacon
This is my go to place during the work week .Located on 58th and Madison, this “create your own” breakfast burrito/wrap is NOM dot COM.
Wichcraft: (@wichcraft) – all over Manhattan
“Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese”
It may be a chain, but I have never tasted a better combination than this right here. Go and order the gooey aged cheddar grilled cheese and dunk it right into the basil, sherry vinegar & parmesan tomato soup. Oh, and don’t forget to ask for the buttery parmesan bread sticks.
Momofuku Milk Bar: (#momofukumilkbar) – 15 w 56th St, New York, NY (Other locations)
Calling all sweet tooth peeps!! This is legit the most insane thing ever. The cake may look prettier, but wait until you try these birthday cake truffles. Perfectly doughy, gooey, and it melts in your mouth so much that I just can’t even continue to discuss it….HURRY AND TRY!
The Americano: (@hotelamericano) 518 W 27th St, New York, NY
If you’re ever in the area for a cute Sunday brunch outside on a rooftop, check out The Americano. The huevos rancheros was on point!
Rubirosa: (@rubirosa_nyc) – 235 Mulberry St, New York, NY
If you’re a lover of the thinnest crusted pizza evaaa, check out Rubirosa. Mix and match your pies and add endless toppings. You will fall in love, I promise. The tie dye pizza is topped with pesto, vodka and tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella, an original from the San Gennaro Festival!
Melt Bakery: (@Meltbakery) – (stand @ The High Line -15th St, but other locations)
“Classic, Morticia, Lovelet”
You can visit the actual location, or if you’re passing on the highline, stop at the stand at try these. The flavors tend to change every so often, but if possible look for the MORTICIA = Crackly Chocolate Cookies + Malted Chocolate Rum Ice Cream.
Caracas Arepa Bar: (@caracasarepabar) – 93 1/2 E 7th St. NY
“Plátano Con Todo”
This restaurant is known specifically for their stuffed grilled and baked corn flour buns smothered in the caracas sauce….THE SAUCE!!! Definitely try out the sweet fried plantains with guacamole as well.
Flex Mussels: (@flexmussels) – 154 W 13th St, NY
“Seafood Special with Lobster”
Starting off as a seafood shack from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, this now urban eatery is a must try for you mussel lovers. These mussel bowls come in all different flavors and variations; Thai, Mexican, Italian, you name it and they have it. Once you’re done, you have to order the flex donut platter; absinthe chocolate and tequila cherry sriracha…..NUFF SAID!
Dominique Ansel Bakery: (@dominiqueansel) – 189 Spring St, New York
“Chocolate Chip Cookie Shot”

All you cookie & milk-a-holics want some shots??? With a side of frozen s’mores? Yeah you do. Both of these items are so unique. How can you turn down cookie shots with milk and a toasted marshmallow stuffed with vanilla ice cream & chocolate wafers?!
